Think of all the times you’ve seen Rob Gronkowski. Aside from being a physically imposing force, the New England Patriots tight end is very clean shaven.
We’re talking zero hair whatsoever besides on his head. No beard, no mustache, no crazy sideburns. And the guy seems to have the smoothest chest ever whenever he’s photographed or filmed dancing shirtless.
Well, it appears that Gronkowski’s lack of body hair hasn’t gone unnoticed among his closest friends. In fact, Bobby Goon — Gronk’s driver, house manager, bodyguard and friend — revealed to GQ that his football-playing buddy has an awesome nickname related to his hair situation.
“His nickname is Bobby Whiskers because he only gets a couple of whiskers,” Goon recently told the magazine.
GQ featured the entire exchange, during which Gronkowski explained that he doesn’t wax his back or his chest and that he’ll shave off a few little pieces of body hair whenever they get too long. Gronk, who insists he just doesn’t like any hair, also doesn’t seem to mind the “Bobby Whiskers” moniker.
“Yeah, Bobby Whiskers, because I got a couple whiskers that grow out of my mustache and beard,” Gronkowski told GQ. “Goon! Goon’s answering questions for me. That was good!”
Goon nailed it with that nickname.
