Kevin Love played 33 minutes in Game 5 of the NBA Finals against the Golden State Warriors on Monday night, but it was almost impossible to notice him because he made zero impact on his team’s season-saving win.
The Cleveland Cavaliers power forward scored just two points on 1-of-5 shooting, and he grabbed just three rebounds while committing four personal fouls.
That’s not exactly the stat line you’d expect from a star player on a max contract.
There’s no doubt Love must play better, and Cavs teammate LeBron James said as much in the lead up to Thursday’s Game 6 in Cleveland.

Love is averaging 7 points per game through four NBA Finals contests, far below his regular-season average of 16 points per game. To be fair, he missed Game 3 because of a concussion.
