Hanley Ramirez, Brock Holt Back In Red Sox’s Lineup For Yankees Opener

The Boston Red Sox are returning from the All-Star break, and so are a few players in their lineup.

First baseman Hanley Ramirez and utility man Brock Holt both are back in the Red Sox’s lineup for their series opener against the Yankees in New York. Ramirez, who’s batting fifth, was out after fouling a ball off his shin July 8 against the Tampa Bay Rays, while Holt, who’s playing in left field and batting eighth, sprained his left ankle in the same game.

Steven Wright is on the mound for Boston after having his two least dominant starts right before heading to San Diego for the All-Star Game. Still, at 10-5 with a 2.68 ERA, the knuckleballer was otherwise dominant in the first half of the season, and this current Yankees team is batting just .138 against him.

Here are both teams’ lineups for Friday’s game.
