NBA Rumors: Dwyane Wade In ‘Preliminary Talks’ To Join Cavs, LeBron James

Six years ago, LeBron James left Cleveland and took his talents to South Beach to join Dwyane Wade and the Miami Heat.

Now, it might be Wade leaving South Beach to link up with James’ Cleveland Cavaliers.

Wade has taken a few team-friendly deals with the Heat in recent seasons, and at 34 years old, he won’t have too many more opportunities to earn a huge contract.

Miami reportedly has offered Wade a two-year, $40 million deal, and it remains to be seen whether that will be good enough to keep him.

Wade has spent his entire 13-year career in Miami. He was drafted by the Heat fifth overall in 2003 and has led them to championships in 2006, 2012 and 2013. James, who returned to Cleveland in 2014, led the Cavaliers to their first-ever NBA title this past season.

He averaged 19 points, 4.6 assists and 4.1 rebounds per game last season.
