The Boston Red Sox are looking to build on Sunday’s momentum as they open a series with the Texas Rangers at Fenway Park on Monday.
It’s the seventh time in the last eight years that Boston has played at home on Independence Day.
Rick Porcello takes the mound for the Sox fresh off another excellent start in an 8-2 win over the Tampa Bay Rays last week. He’s been excellent in his last five starts to the tune of a 3.26 ERA, and is making his own case for an All-Star Game appearance.
