The Boston Red Sox still have a shortage of available starting pitchers due to injuries, but can you imagine where they would be without their pre-deadline trade for Drew Pomeranz?

Pomeranz didn’t get off to the best start in Boston, but he has improved over his last five outings. The Red Sox left-hander is 2-1 with a 2.40 ERA, 10 walks and 31 strikeouts in 30 innings over that span, with the one loss coming Thursday — a 2-1 defeat — against the Tampa Bay Rays.

Hear Pomeranz talk about his most recent outing in the video above from “Red Sox Final.”
