FOXBORO, Mass. — It didn’t take Jamie Collins long to leave his mark on the New England Patriots’ preseason opener against the New Orleans Saints.
After the Patriots forced a fumble on the Saints’ opening drive Thursday night, Collins kicked off New England’s second defensive series by intercepting a pass from Garrett Grayson and taking it 43 yards to the house.
James White maneuvered his way into the end zone on the ensuing two-point conversion to give New England an early 8-0 lead.
