David Ortiz Tells Seth Meyers Why He Expects To See ‘100,000 Buttcheeks’ At Yankee Stadium

David Ortiz knows what to expect from his last visit to Yankee Stadium.

The Boston Red Sox slugger was a guest on “Late Night With Seth Meyers” on Monday, and he told the host he’s aware some Yankees fans plan to moon him as a farewell gesture and he’s not exactly looking forward to what he’ll see, according to Boston.com’s Kevin Slane.

“Well, last time I heard, (they were) planning (to) moon me,” Ortiz said when asked what he expects to see Thursday night at Yankee Stadium. “You’re talking about 100,000 buttcheeks out there looking at me.”

Meyers then piled on to the joke.

“I’ve been to Yankee Stadium, they’re not all A-plus butts,” he said. “There’s some bad butts in that stadium.”

After Thursday night’s game against the Yankees, the Red Sox will return home for a three-game series against the Toronto Blue Jays to close the regular season. Ortiz undoubtedly will receive a more, um, appropriate reception from adoring Red Sox fans this weekend at Fenway Park.
