Matt Ryan is a veteran NFL quarterback, so he understands putting your body at risk when you don’t have to isn’t ideal.
Ryan displayed an impressive amount of restraint in the Falcons’ 45-32 win over the Saints on “Monday Night Football” when New Orleans lineman Nick Fairley ran toward him while pursuing Atlanta running back Devonta Freeman.
It looked like the Falcons QB was about to block the 6-foot-4, 291-pound Fairley, but Ryan decided against it at the last minute and dove out of the way. His reaction afterward was priceless.

The Falcons and their fans certainly are glad he thought better of crossing paths with Fairley.
