Mike Trout reportedly is OK after he was involved in a car crash Wednesday night.
The Los Angeles Angels superstar walked away unscathed from a multiple-vehicle accident, as he and the other motorists tried to avoid a different wreck, according to KCBS-TV. The incident took place on the 55 Freeway in Tustin, Calif., not far from Angel Stadium in Anaheim.
California Highway Patrol indicated Trout wasn’t charged in the crash, according to the KCBS report, and Angels general manager Billy Eppler later released a statement.
“Mike Trout was involved in a car accident earlier (Wednesday night). I have spoken with Mike this evening and he feels fine,” Eppler said in the statement. “He is at home with his roommate and is planning on traveling with the club to Seattle (Thursday) afternoon. We will update as more information becomes available.”
One woman was seriously injured in the crash, as firefighters used the jaws of life to free her from her vehicle.
