Virginia Tech-Tennessee Nosebleed Seats At Bristol Sit Above Video Board

Most people hate the view from the nosebleed seats at a football game. But the view from those seats is even worse when the game is being held at a NASCAR track.

The Tennessee Volunteers and Virginia Tech Hokies will square off at Bristol Motor Speedway on Saturday, and, when they do, some fans might have trouble following the action. A photo by the Knoxville News Sentinel appeared to show the seats sitting higher than the “Colossus” video display hanging over the field.

Row 13 of Wallace Tower at BMS holds the highest seats available, and it doesn’t provide a great view of the field. Despite that, all 61,000 grandstand tickets — including Row 13 of Wallace Tower — have already sold out, the News Sentinel reports.

Wallace Tower is the section found between Turns 1 and 2 (across from where the above photo was taken), and will be behind one of the end zones during the “Battle At Bristol.” Not just Row 13, but the entire section, is higher than the center-hung video display, dubbed “Colossus.”

Fans probably won’t care to much about the view, because — as is the case with the NHL’s Winter Classic or college football’s Pinstripe Bowl — attending Battle At Bristol will be more about the experience than the game itself.
