Charlotte Hornets center Frank Kaminsky swung from the heels. The Chicago Cubs weren’t having it.
Kaminsky, a Chicago White Sox fan who hates the Cubs, ruffled some feathers Monday when he showed up to the Hornets’ preseason game against the Chicago Bulls wearing a Steve Bartman jersey.

Bartman, of course, is the fan often blamed for the Cubs’ 2003 National League Championship Series collapse, as he deflected a foul ball in the eighth inning of Game 6 that Moises Alou might have been be able to catch before Chicago ultimately lost the game and the series.
The Cubs weren’t going to just sit there and let Kaminsky make a mockery of them, especially after the Los Angeles Dodgers defeated Chicago in Game 2 of the teams’ current NLCS to pull the series even at one game apiece. As such, an intense Twitter war broke out Monday.

The big blow? The Cubs landing a haymaker by referencing the 2015 NCAA National Championship loss Kaminsky suffered while playing for Wisconsin.

Then again, Kaminsky also pointed out the Cubs’ ongoing World Series drought, so it looks like they’re even for the time being.
