Claude Julien Points To Bruins’ Lack Of Finish As Culprit For Loss To Blues

The Boston Bruins certainly had offensive chances Tuesday night, but a combination of St. Louis Blues goalie Jake Allen’s performance and the B’s inability to finish led to a 4-2 loss.

“Well, I think it was our inability to finish around the net,” coach Claude Julien told NESN’s Andy Brickley and Jack Edwards on “Bruins Overtime Live.” “We had a lot of good looks there around the net but, again, not burying most of our chances there. So that was one of the issues.

“I thought at some point in the second period they were a lot heavier on the puck than we were. We needed to win more battles, which we did in the third, and I thought we got our game back on track then. But, again, that’s unfortunate, but the lack of finish right now is what probably cost us tonight.”
