LeBron James Reacts To Donald Trump’s Election Win With Uplifting Message
LeBron James’ preferred candidate lost the 2016 U.S. presidential election, but he’s not losing faith in his own capacity to change the country and the world.
The NBA superstar reacted Wednesday to Donald Trump’s victory over Hillary Clinton with an inspirational Instagram message, which calls on his followers to show love and faith. His post also contained a message for young people, for whom he serves as a leader. James chose a clip from Kendrick Lamar’s “Alright” as the audio backdrop to his message.
James has become increasingly outspoken on social issues in recent years and he endorsed Clinton and campaigned for her in his native Ohio.
While Clinton lost the state and the election, James clearly has no plans of exiting the political arena after this setback.
