Marcus Smart isn’t afraid to throw his body around, and sometimes his fearlessness results in some pretty epic flops.
Monday night was one of those times.
During the second quarter of the Boston Celtics’ matchup with the Pelicans at Smoothie King Center, New Orleans forward Solomon Hill drove the lane and jumpedĀ overĀ Smart for a vicious, poster-esque slam. Or so he thought.

Smart managed to draw the offensive foul on Hill by collapsing to the floor, which made Hill pretty upset after his premature celebration.

Smart, on the other hand, was quite pleased with the work he had done.

Hill’s leg appeared to make some contact with Smart, but his thunderous dunk probably should have counted, as the Celtics guard clearly embellished the collision. And judging by Smart’s reaction, he knew it.
Smart had himself a nice night with 15 points, six rebounds, three assists and four steals, but Hill and the Pelicans got the last laugh, winning 106-105 after a wild finish.
