When you’re the backup goaltender, you need to make a statement every chance you can. And that’s exactly what Detroit Red Wings backup goaltender Petr Mrazek did.
On Friday, he unveiled his “Elf”-inspired mask, and it didn’t disappoint.

The mask features all the “Elf” essentials: candy canes, a Christmas tree and of course, Buddy. While this mask isn’t exactly intimidating, it sure does get you into the holiday spirit.
Mrazek, “Elf” mask and all, is set to start Saturday when the Red Wings host the Anaheim Ducks.
