The NHL’s salary cap has risen every season since the 2013-14 campaign, but will it happen again for 2017-18?

The cap, which recently was discussed at the annual NHL Board of Governors meeting, was $64.3 million in 2013-14, $69 million in 2014-15 and $71.4 million in 2015-16, before being raised to $73 million for the current season.

Hear NESN’s Billy Jaffe and Dale Arnold speak with Rogers Sportsnet’s John Shannon prior to Saturday’s game between the Bruins and Toronto Maple Leafs in Boston about the cap and more in the video from “Big Bad Bruins Live” above.
