Vin Diesel Claims Conor McGregor Dropped Movie Role After Loss To Nate Diaz

Conor McGregor is dominating the headlines these days.

Whether it’s speculation of a possible fight with Floyd Mayweather or his UFC future, the media can’t get enough of “The Notorious.”

Actor Vin Diesel appears to be a big fan of McGregor, as he reportedly created a role for him in his upcoming film “xXx: The Return of Xander Cage.” But in an interview with MMAFighting.com, Diesel claims McGregor chose to back out of the role after he lost to Nate Diaz at UFC 196.

“I had created a role for Conor McGregor, and after he lost to Nate Diaz, he had to go to a dark place, he had to go get his manhood back to fight the second time, so he wasn’t able to do this film at the time,”Diesel told MMAFighting.com.

Whether this is true or not, those are pretty tough words from the “Fast and Furious” star.

Fans eventually will see McGregor’s acting chops on display, though, as he reportedly will make an appearance in the next season of “Game of Thrones.”
