Allen Iverson’s Courtside Interview During Hornets-76ers Was Something Else

Allen Iverson was living his best life Tuesday night.

The former Philadelphia 76ers star had courtside seats in Charlotte to watch his former club take on the Hornets. Naturally, NBC Sports Philadelphia decided to have him on for an interview during the third quarter.

Here’s how that went:

We won’t make any assumptions here. Maybe A.I. was just in an extra happy, extra relaxed mood. But we will relay what he told sideline reporter Molly Sullivan:

On the Sixers: “I love my guys. I love my little dudes. They my little guys. I love ’em.”

On what brings him to Charlotte: “I live here.”

That’s some quality content right there.

Iverson does, in fact, live in Charlotte, residing in the neighborhood of Ballantyne with his ex-wife, Tawanna, and three of their five children. As for his assessment of the 2017-18 76ers, we’ll just take him at his word.

Iverson, who provided some more scintillating analysis in the full interview, took plenty of heat on social media, but Sullivan later defended “The Answer” on Twitter.

Philly went on to win 128-114, and we only can imagine how Iverson celebrated.
