Olivia Culpo Confirms Breakup With Ex-Patriots Receiver Danny Amendola

The rumors are true. Danny Amendola and Olivia Culpo no longer are an item.

Culpo confirmed the couple’s split Wednesday during an appearance on “Access Live,” although she declined to provide a reason or shed much light on why they broke up after dating for about two years.

“We are broken up and it’s just so fresh for me, I really don’t feel comfortable talking about it,” Culpo said.

“Everybody goes through breakups in life,” the actress/model added. “Everybody has their own way of handling it, and it’s something that I’m definitely not going to get into at this moment. But I am sure everyone can relate to heartbreak.”

Multiple reports surfaced recently stating that Amendola and Culpo had broken up. Amendola signing with the Miami Dolphins after spending the last five seasons with the New England Patriots might have something to do with the split, seeing as how Culpo is a Rhode Island native who still resides in the Boston area. But a source told Us Weekly the wide receiver also “wasn’t happy” with Culpo’s appearance in Sports Illustrated’s most recent Swimsuit Issue, while an E! News source added Amendola “couldn’t handle Olivia’s demanding lifestyle” and “wasn’t pleased with certain choices she was making.”

Who knows? All we know is the two have gone their separate ways — just like Amendola and the Patriots — and life will go on.
