Red Sox Explain What They’ve Learned From Former Boston Stars This Spring

The Boston Red Sox have received visits from a number of special guests throughout spring training thus far.

As Boston gears up for the 2018 season, several former Sox stars have made the trip down to Fort Myers, Fla. to spend some time with the team. Among the bevy of highlights, we’ve seen David Ortiz serve as a mentor to J.D. Martinez, Mike Lowell spread his wisdom to Rafael Devers and Pedro Martinez work with the pitching staff.

In a video shared on the Red Sox’s Twitter account Thursday, Boston managed Alex Cora explained just how much of a treat it has been to have Red Sox from yesteryear in camp. Cora’s players also are exceedingly appreciative of the lessons they’ve learned from some of the former Sox this spring.

Check it out:

The majority of the ex-Sox featured in the video above have World Series titles on their respective baseball résumés, so it would be wise of the current squad to take in as much information as possible.
