Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster is serious about getting LeBron James to join him in Western Pennsylvania.
James tore up the gridiron in high school, but obviously made basketball his career choice, however Smith-Schuster has made it his offseason goal to recruit King James to join them.
So if James was to join the NFL, what would his role be?
Shannon Sharpe has an idea.
Smith-Schuster discussed James being a possible red zone threat with Sharpe and Skip Bayless on FOX Sports 1’s “Undisputed”, which prompted Sharpe to posit that James could be a similar player to New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski.
Sharpe actually is on to something, at least with the comparisons in build. James is listed at 6-8, 250 pounds, while Gronk checks in 6-6, 265 pounds.
Still, it is pretty unlikely James ever would come to the NFL, but you can’t blame Smith-Schuster for trying.
