There are three types of people in this world: those who need help getting up, those who get up on their own — and Marcus Smart.
The unpredictable Boston Celtics guard blessed us with another bizarre highlight Monday night in Chicago. During the third quarter of Boston’s rout of the Bulls, Smart hit the deck with no Celtics player around him.
So, he got to his feet on his own.
Uhh, we’re gonna need a closer look at that.
We knew Smart was athletic, but we didn’t know he’s capable of casually doing mid-game kip-ups. (Props to Sports Illustrated for asking the important questions.)
Smart was asked after the game just what possessed him to spring off his back like a ninja.
Sure you were, Marcus.
The young guard, who’s celebrating his 24th birthday Tuesday, finished with a classic Marcus Smart line: seven points on 2-of-7 shooting — along with four assists, a plus-4 rating and a mind-boggling ninja flip.
