Mookie Betts appears to already be in midseason form.
The Boston Red Sox star right fielder is hoping to have a bounce-back season in 2018 after having a bit of a down year in 2017. While Betts launched 24 home runs and drove in 102 runs last season, he hit just .264, which was a far cry from the .318 average he put up in an MVP-caliber 2016 season.
The 25-year-old was locked in Sunday, however, when he launched a leadoff home run to deep left-center field against the Minnesota Twins.
Take a look:
No doubt about it.
Betts holds the Red Sox franchise record for most career leadoff home runs, and he looks primed to add to that total in 2018.
