‘Dancing With The Stars’: Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Among Athletes Cast In 2018

Will Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s long legs help him win the sprint to “Dancing with the Stars” glory?

The 70-year-old NBA legend headlines the list of athletes on this season’s DWTS cast, which was announced Friday on “Good Morning America.” Former Boston Red Sox and New York Yankees outfielder Johnny Damon, figure-skating anti-hero Tonya Harding and softball great Jennie Finch Daigle also will feature in season 26 of the hit show.

A number of athletes who shot to fame during the 2018 Winter Olympics are included in this season’s cast. They include gold-medal-winning snowboarder Jamie Anderson, singles luge silver medalist Chris Mazdzer, figure-skating bronze medalist Adam Rippon and fellow figure skater Mirai Nagasu.

Washington Redskins cornerback Josh Norman and Notre Dame women’s basketball star Arike Ogunbowale represent active athletes in the four major U.S. sports.

The new season of “Dancing with the Stars” will begin April 30.
