Doug Ghim may not have been in contention at Augusta National this week, but it’s a week the University of Texas senior never will forget.
Ghim carded a final-round 74 on Sunday to finish the 2018 Masters at 8-over-par, winning low amateur honors. Ghim was the only amateur to make the cut this week, but he finished his round in style. The 21-year-old’s second shot on the par-4 18th hole found the bunker, but the talented amateur holed out for birdie and then gave his father, who was also his caddy this week, a huge embrace.
Take a look:
Ghim has been one of the golf world’s up-and-coming stars, and there’s no reason to believe he won’t be a fixture on the PGA Tour when he turns pro.
