NASCAR Crew Member Catches On Fire, Stays Next-Level Chill Throughout

Cole Custer’s gasman is one with the flames.

During Saturday’s NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Bristol Motor Speedway, Custer pulled his No. 00 Ford in for a routine pit stop. Things took a dangerous turn when Custer exited the pits, however, as his gasman’s leg wound up catching on fire. But with the benefit of his fireproof suit, the crew member stayed remarkably chill until the fire was extinguished.

Why stop, drop and roll when you can just be a total boss instead?

That Sunoco racing fuel will get ya.

Custer and his flame-wielding gasman shook off the scary incident and wound up finishing eighth in the Fitzgerald Glider Kits 300. Although, considering Custer started the race on the pole, his team probably was hoping for a better result.
