Arguably the New England Patriots’ two most important players have yet to commit to playing in the 2018 NFL season.
Rob Gronkowski’s status has been up in the air since the Patriots’ Super Bowl LII loss, and the latest reports indicate the star tight end’s indecisiveness is directly tied to his desire for a new contract.
While it doesn’t appear as pressing as Gronkowski’s situation, Tom Brady also has yet to give the official word that he’ll be suiting up for the Patriots in the upcoming campaign. But if you think Brady is holding out for Gronk to make a decision, ESPN’s Adam Schefter doesn’t agree with you.
Although it seems unlikely that either Brady or Gronkowski will hang up their cleats, their demands appear to be like-minded. All signs point to Brady playing in 2018, but the Patriots quarterback reportedly wants a new deal.
