BOSTON — It has been just two games, but there sure isn’t any love lost between the 2018 Boston Red Sox and New York Yankees.

After the benches cleared following Tyler Austin’s hard slide into second base earlier in the game, which angered Sox shortstop Brock Holt, Austin got plunked by Boston reliever Joe Kelly in the seventh inning. Austin threw down his bat in frustration and charged after Kelly.

Mayhem ensued, see it for yourself.

The brawl caused a lengthy delay as umpires worked to clear the two sides and speak with each manager. When the dust settled, Kelly and Austin were ejected.
