Brian Johnson will take the mound for the Boston Red Sox on Thursday afternoon.

The 28-year-old has bounced between the bullpen and starting rotation this season with his last appearance coming this past Monday against the Tampa Bay Rays in relief. Johnson made his last start Aug. 25 in a losing effort against the San Diego Padres in which he threw three innings while surrendering three earned runs.

Johnson will be opposed by the Texas Rangers’ Mike Minor who enters the series finale with a 13-10 record and a 3.52 across 31 starts this season.
