The Boston Bruins fought (literally) but ultimately fell in defeat.

Boston was defeated by the Detroit Red Wings by a score of 5-3 despite having 50 shots on goal.

Charlie McAvoy was highlighted as a player to watch prior to the game and notched an assist on the Patrice Bergeron third-period goal.
