Bruins Announce Jersey Numbers For Free Agent, Trade Additions

Elias Lindholm is rocking No. 28

The Boston Bruins made a few high-profile additions this offseason, including Elias Lindholm and Nikita Zadorov.

How will they look in the Black and Gold?

We now have a better idea than ever before, as the B’s officially announced the jersey numbers for Lindholm, Zadorov, Mark Kastelic, Max Jones, Joonas Korpisalo and Riley Tufte.

Zadorov will become just the second player in franchise history to wear No. 91, joining Marc Savard (2007-2011). Korpisalo will become the third goaltender in Bruins history to wear No. 70, joining Tim Thomas (2003) and Malcolm Subban (2015-2017).

Jones (No. 49), Kastelic (No. 47) and Tufte (No. 10) chose some pretty popular digits, but nowhere close to the popularity of Lindholm’s (No. 28) — which has now been worn by 11 players since 2000.

Bruins first-round pick Dean Letourneau wore No. 97 during development camp in June.

Boston likely won’t wait very long to throw the big guns’ jerseys in the pro shop, especially since Lindholm and Zadorov are being counted on to get the B’s over the hump and back into contention.
