The Boston Bruins extended forward Marc McLaughlin on a one-year, two-way deal with a cap hit of $775,000, the team announced Tuesday.

The 24-year-old has played two full seasons in the AHL with the Providence Bruins, appearing in 135 games. In his career in Providence, McLaughlin has tallied 44 points on 21 goals and 23 assists.

In 68 games in Providence during the 2023-24 season, the 6-foot, 205-pounder had 14 points on eight goals and six assists.

McLaughlin has made several appearances in the NHL, playing 14 games across three seasons. In the 2021-22 season, the Massachusetts native skated in 11 games and notched three goals during that time. In 2023-24, he played in one game and recorded one point against the New York Islanders.

With the signing, goaltender Jeremy Swayman is the Bruins’ only restricted free agent unsigned.
