Randy Moss never won a title with the New England Patriots. That didn’t stop him from becoming a fan-favorite in just over three seasons with the organization.
Moss certainly felt that love and appreciate from Patriots fans last month at Gillette Stadium. While celebrating Tom Brady’s induction into the franchise’s Hall of Fame, the crowd gave a standing ovation for Moss during a panel with Julian Edelman, Rob Gronkowski and Wes Welker.
With full intentions of keeping the night about the legendary Patriots’ quarterback, the moment totally caught Moss off guard.
“The standing ovation happened,” Moss told Kay Adams on “Up and Adams” on Monday. “I waited for them to stop, for it to end. All of the sudden, it kept going. I think my emotions just got the best of me. It really felt good.”

Moss added that beyond his departure from the Patriots in 2010, several athletes have hard times moving on from team to team.
“When you go from one organization to another, a lot of athletes don’t feel appreciated,” Moss explained. “You hear a lot of times where a guy gets traded and he never wanted to leave that city. I’m not talking about myself, just in general.”
With that being said, it’s safe to say the ovation brought closure and gratitude for Moss regarding his Patriots day.

“I’m very thankful for it, man,” Moss added.
