Brown posted on the X platform Thursday that he made his rap debut alongside A$AP Ferg with a single coming out Friday.
What's the title of the duo's new song? It just so happens to be "Just Do It," which is also the famous tagline of Nike.
That doesn't feel at all like a coincidence, especially after all that transpired between Brown and Nike this summer. Brown took a shot at the premier athletic brand after Celtics teammate Derrick White was chosen over the three-time NBA All-Star to replace Kawhi Leonard on the Olympic team.

Brown, who was fresh off winning NBA Finals MVP honors at the time of that decision, believed his past criticisms of the company, which included calling out Nike in the aftermath of the Kyrie Irving anti-Semitic saga and removing the iconic Nike swoosh from his sneakers, factored into him not being selected for Team USA. Nike is a close partner of USA Basketball.
Brown teased during an appearance at the NBA's Summer League in mid-July that he would drop new information about his feelings toward Nike and being left off the Olympic team, which won a gold medal in Paris earlier this month.
Brown's foray into the rap game seemed like a perfect opportunity to call out Nike once again, but it looks like the 27-year-old went a different route. It was still a diss track, though, with Brown presumably taking digs at another NBA player in the song.
