Elias Lindholm missed the second day of Bruins training camp, but it doesn't sound like it will be a long-term issue.
Head coach Jim Montgomery told reporters Friday that it was a maintenance day for the highlight free-agent signing and that Boston was being "extra cautious" with the center. David Pastrnak had a different explanation.
"It was good," Pastrnak told reporters of his first day practicing with Lindholm, per the Bruins. "Maybe he wasn't used to the Czech pace. That's why he needed the day off (Friday). It was fun. We had some good looks. I don't think there will be any problem finding chemistry with Lindy. He's very smart and has a very high hockey IQ. It was one practice, but like I said, I don't think there will be any problem finding chemistry."
Lindholm should give Boston a "killer instinct" on the power play, and despite his lack of production last season, working on the same line as a prolific scorer like Pastrnak could get him back into his 2021-22 form.
