Bruins general manager Don Sweeney didn't want to delve too much into specifics Wednesday when he spoke about Jeremy Swayman's contract situation in Boston.
However, Sweeney felt inclined to respond to one remark about the matter from a prominent NHL media member.
Former NHL player and "Spittin' Chiclets" co-host Paul Bissonnette earlier this month claimed the Bruins were "ignoring Sway's calls" amid negotiations. Sweeney vehemently shot down the comment Wednesday and even used some colorful language to get his point across.
"I think it's bulls--t that somebody says I wouldn't return a call for three weeks," Swayman told reporters, as seen on NESN. "There. That's inaccurate. Was it said? Was it written? I will tell you, I don't listen to podcasts. My son loves Biz, thinks he's fabulous. I think he's a great entertainer. But at the end of the day, it's inaccurate. And that's OK because that's all part of the business nowadays. It's OK if you turn around and say it's your opinion, your belief, but don't report it as fact. That's all. That's all I'm asking."

Swayman, who is a restricted free agent, will not report to Bruins training camp this month without a new contract. However, Sweeney remains "optimistic" the goaltender and the club will iron out a new deal before the Dec. 1 deadline.
