Drake Maye will eventually play for the Patriots after New England drafted him in April to eventually take over as the face of the franchise.

For now, the North Carolina product sits behind veteran Jacoby Brissett, though the focus around this season for the Patriots constantly sparks conversation around Maye. New England owner Robert Kraft opened up about Maye's arrival in New England to offer in a new era alongside head coach Jerod Mayo and executive vice president of player personnel Eliot Wolf.

"With all due respect, I wish I had the good judgement," Kraft told Amazon's Taylor Rooks on Thursday. "We have excellent people. Eliot Wolf in combination with our head coach. Eliot really made the decision. There were three great quarterbacks in the draft. The one we wanted came to us. I'm really excited."

Kraft gushed over the family support Maye brought with him to Foxboro, specifically with his girlfriends and his brothers. With time to learn and develop, Maye holds the raw talent to spark the Patriots eventually.
