Patrice Bergeron returned to the Bruins on Thursday.
No, the former Boston captain didn't sign a one-year deal with the team. Instead, the 39-year-old traveled with the team to Quebec City as the B's prepared for their preseason matchup against the Los Angeles Kings at Videotron Centre.
Bergeron recorded a video that was released on the Bruins' social media accounts where he revealed he would take over the team's X account during the second period of the game. Boston also posted a picture of Bergeron getting off the plane with Pavel Zacha and David Pastrnak, who looked as stylish as he typically does.
Thursday's exhibition matchup marked the first time in over five years the NHL was in Quebec. Bergeron was scheduled to be honored before the game to commemorate him as one of the best players to come out of the province.

Matthew Poitras and Brad Marchand aren't expected to suit up in Bergeron's home province nor will new goalie Jiri Patera due to a visa issue. But it should be a unique atmosphere compared to a regular preseason game.
Puck drop for Thursday's Bruins-Kings preseason matchup is scheduled at 7 p.m. ET, and the game can streamed live on BostonBruins.com.
