The New England Patriots started an eighth different offensive line combination for their Week 9 game against the Tennessee Titans on Sunday.
And perhaps there will be another combination soon.
Patriots offensive lineman Cole Strange is in the “homestretch” of his rehab from a torn patellar tendon, ESPN’s Mike Reiss reported Sunday. There have been “no setbacks” for the 2022 first-round pick, who remains on the physically unable to perform list.
There is no definitive timeline for Strange’s return to practice, however. Strange returning to the practice field would open a 21-day window for him to either be elevated to the 53-man roster or kept on injured reserve for the remainder of the season.
MassLive’s Mark Daniels reported earlier this month Strange was on track to return this season.
