Failed Patriots Draft Pick Released From (Another) NFC Practice Squad

N’Keal Harry was not long for Seattle.

The Seattle Seahawks on Tuesday announced they released Harry from the practice squad to make room for a defensive tackle and center. Harry signed with Seattle in mid-November and did not appear in a Seahawks game.

Patriots fans are well-acquainted with Harry, who was drafted by New England with the 32nd pick in the 2019 NFL Draft. Bill Belichick’s Patriots selected the Arizona State product over fellow wideouts A.J. Brown, Deebo Samuel and DK Metcalf. He’s one of the biggest busts in franchise history.

The 26-year-old Harry tried to make a transition to tight end this season, but it hasn’t worked out. Harry was released by the Vikings ahead of the 53-man roster cutdown and then re-signed to Minnesota’s practice squad. The Vikings released Harry on Oct. 21 after he did not appear in a game.

Harry played 33 games (18 starts) with the Patriots. He caught 57 passes (103 targets) for 598 yards and four touchdowns as a member of the Patriots.
