Former Patriots quarterback Mac Jones had an outstanding game for the Jaguars, throwing two touchdown passes in Sunday’s win over the Tennessee Titans.

Jones was 15 of 22 for 174 yards in the win. Two of his best completions of the game went to Brian Thomas, including a 31-yard pass lob down the sideline in the second quarter with the Jaguars up 10-0.

It was only the second win for Jones as the starting quarterback in Jacksonville, and the 26-year-old signal-caller noted it was a refreshing start since being traded from the Patriots.

“It’s been fun. I’ve really enjoyed it,” Jones told reporters, per team-provided video. “I’m looking forward to finishing strong with another win.”

Jones continued: “It’s been awesome. I mean, I’ve definitely found a little bit more joy in football, and that’s a big credit to the coaches. They just keep it loose no matter what, regardless of the results. Just go in each week and have fun at practice, which is important for me. Obviously, I want to translate into wins, and that will come. I’ve been really impressed with their, not only their football IQ and knowledge but just how they run the team, and all the coaches on the offensive side have done a great job.”

The Alabama product even converted three third-and-ones with successful quarterback sneaks. Jones finished the game with 22 yards on six carries. Jones said he couldn’t remember the last time he was called upon to run that many quarterback sneaks in one game.

“I think I did it maybe once back in the day,” he said. “I definitely love the quarterback sneak. … It’s a great play. It’s a high-percentage play.”

Jaguars coach Doug Pederson said it was one of the “better games” Jones played all season.

“I thought he did a great job just putting the ball in play and taking what the defense gave him,” Pederson said, per team-provided video. “Some really good scrambles early in the game to keep us on the field. … Great performance by Mac. He’s one of many guys that really had a hand in this win, but he played really well today.”
