The Boston Celtics are preparing to return to the court on Thursday night for a battle against the Miami Heat. Off the court, one of their former players, Delonte West, found himself in more legal trouble, as he continues to struggle in his post-NBA career.

A former first-round pick of the Celtics in the 2004 NBA Draft, West spent three-and-a-half seasons of his professional career in Boston. West eventually flamed out of the league in 2012, and ever since then, he has found himself dealing with a laundry list of legal issues.

The latest example of that saw West get arrested in December for allegedly robbing an individual of $23 in Virginia. West quickly posted a $1,000 bond and was released to a treatment facility.

“Delonte West has found himself in trouble with the law again — the former NBA star was arrested last month in Virginia after he allegedly robbed an individual,” TMZ Sports reported. “We’re told he was taken into custody … and he was released on a $1,000 recognizance bond. They say the total amount taken from the victim was around $23.”

West’s struggles have been tough for basketball fans to watch, as he just can’t stay out of trouble. The good news from this situation is that West is seeking professional help, which will hopefully help him get back on the right track.
