It’s safe to say Alex Bregman is excited for his first regular-season game with the Red Sox.
Bregman, who signed a three-year contract with Boston in mid-February, will start at third base and bat third in the Red Sox’s Opening Day matchup with the Texas Rangers. But hours before first pitch at Globe Life Field, the two-time World Series champion was active on Instagram to show how fired up he was for the highly anticipated contest.
The two-time All-Star first shared a highlight reel of his first spring training with Boston, coupled with the caption “Happy Opening Day 2k25! #LFG #GoSox.” Shortly thereafter, Bregman shared a photo of his locker on his Instagram story with the caption, “Game 1.”
Given the impact Bregman projects to make in Boston, the Fenway Faithful might be more excited about his team debut than the Gold Glover himself. Red Sox fans can catch full coverage of Game 1 for Bregman beginning at 2:30 p.m. ET on NESN.
