Bruins fans at TD Garden had something to cheer for before puck drop against the Chicago Blackhawks on Thursday night when the club announced their 2024-2025 season awards.
John P. Bucyk Award:
Defenseman Parker Wotherspoon received the award for his contributions to charity and community endeavors. In addition to participating in the Bruins’ annual holiday story shopping and hospital visits, Wotherspoon visited the Richard J. Murphy School to participate in a STEM lesson with a seventh-grade classroom and participated in a game of goalball with students from the Perkins School for the Blind.
Eddie Shore Award:
Forward Morgan Geekie was honored by the “Legacy Season Ticket Holders” when they named him the Eddie Shore Award recipient for demonstrating exceptional hustle and determination throughout the season. The Manitoba, Canada native has appeared in 74 games this season and has averaged more than 16 minutes of ice time, potting 30 goals and adding 23 assists for 53 points — all new career highs.
Elizabeth Dufresne Trophy:
For the second straight season and fourth time in his career, Bruins forward David Pastrnak received the honor of being named the player who has been “the most outstanding in home games.” Through 39 games at TD Garden this season, Pastrnak lit the lamp 24 times and added 28 helpers for 52 points. The alternate captain leads the Bruins in goals, assists, points, even-strength goals (20), even-strength points (42), power-play goals (4), power-play points (10) and shots (157) in home games this season. He previously won the award in 2024, 2022 and 2020.
98.5 The Sports Hub Three Stars:
Geekie earned the Third Star for scoring 12 goals and 14 assists in 37 home games this season.

Goaltender Jeremy Swayman earned the Second Star for the second consecutive season for compiling a 14-11-3 record at the Garden this season with a 2.61 goals against average and a .910 save percentage in 28 home starts this season.
Pastrnak earned his second award of the night with the First Star by scoring a team-high 24 goals and 28 assists in 39 home games.
