Kyren Lacy, who announced he would enter the 2025 NFL Draft after his third season with the LSU Tigers, died at the age of 24.

A family member confirmed the news to WAFB-TV’s sports director Jacques Doucet.

Lacy was arrested in January on charges related to a deadly hit-and-run, which occurred in December. He was charged with negligent homicide, felony hit-and-run with death and reckless operation of a vehicle, per ESPN.

A grand jury was set to start hearing evidence in the case Monday, per WAFB.

The former LSU wide receiver spent three seasons with Tigers. He caught 112 passes for 1,692 yards and 16 touchdowns during his time in Baton Rouge.
