The Boston Red Sox had two more arms take steps back toward the big leagues in a rehab outing for Double-A Portland Wednesday night.

Brayan Bello got the start for the Sea Dogs in Hartford, Conn., against the Yard Goats. Like Lucas Giolito on Tuesday, Bello racked up the strikeouts while he surrendered multiple runs. The Red Sox right-hander tossed 4 1/3 innings as he gave up four runs on six hits with one walk and seven strikeouts. Bello worked through his rehab from shoulder inflammation and should be set to make his 2025 season debut with the Red Sox next week.

Liam Hendriks took over in the sixth inning and posted a scoreless frame. The Red Sox reliever allowed just one walk and struck out a batter in his inning of work. He did not start the season on the roster due to elbow inflammation.

The Red Sox saw progress from the two arms and did enough themselves for a 1-0 win to earn a series victory over the Tampa Bay Rays.
