Some Patriots fans aren’t convinced Will Campbell is the best tackle in the 2025 NFL Draft class, but a franchise legend might have changed their mind.
NFL draft analysts agree that the LSU product can play left tackle in the NFL and, at worst, be a high-caliber guard. However, discussions about his arm length dominated the conversation and swayed some fans away from the idea of New England drafting him.
David Andrews was in Weymouth, Mass., on Thursday for “The Draught Party” to help raise money for Doug Kyed’s Leukemia and Lymphoma Society fundraiser. The two-time Super Bowl champion took questions from fans and offered a simple assessment of Campbell.
“The arm length stuff is (expletive),” Andrews told the crowd, per Alexandra Francisco of Patriots.com.
Head coach Mike Vrabel was in lockstep with Andrews when he talked about his evaluation of Campbell. The offensive tackle is a realistic option for the Patriots with the fourth overall pick, especially if Abdul Carter or Travis Hunter are off the board.

Campbell’s arm length likely will still cloud the NFL draft prospect, but those who’ve played the game don’t seem to see any problems that some fans and analysts do.
