The 2010 Vancouver gold medalists are favored to repeat in Sochi, with Bovada setting odds of a Canadian gold medal at 7-4 entering the knockout rounds.
The United States has the second-best odds of winning it all at 11-4, followed by Russia (16-5), Sweden (5-1) and Finland (11-1).
Canada finished the preliminary round undefeated and earned a first-round bye, but it has a very difficult road to the final ahead. First, the Canadians will face a defensively dominant Switzerland team Wednesday in the quarterfinals if the Swiss can get past winless Latvia. After that, a rematch of the 2010 gold medal game against the U.S. likely awaits in the semis.
