The knockout-round schedule for the 2014 Winter Olympic men’s hockey tournament has been released.
The eight lower seeds will play Tuesday in the qualifying round. The winners of those four games then will play the four top seeds — Sweden, the United States, Canada and Finland — Wednesday in the quarterfinals.
Both the U.S. and Canada will play their quarterfinal games at noon ET, with the Americans taking on the winner of Czech Republic-Slovakia and the Canadians playing either Switzerland or Latvia. Wins by both the U.S. and Canada would set up a semifinal matchup between the North American rivals.
